Qigong is an energy cultivation practice. Qi (pronounced “Chi”) means vital energy and Gong means to cultivate.
Qigong is a branch of Chinese Medicine where slow, gentle and repetitive movements are practiced in order to warm tendons, ligaments, and muscles; tonify vital organs and connective tissue; and promote circulation of body fluids (blood, synovial, lymph).
The smooth and gentle nature of Qigong also helps to support the central nervous system by activating the parasympathetic state (rest and digest), aiding in our ability to mentally and physically recover from the daily stress and stimuli of the fast paces world around us, and its affects over our general wellbeing.
Join Dan for a 6 week course where you will learn the fundamentals of Qigong and develop a sustainable and life-long practice. All abilities are welcome, and There is even the option to do chair based forms and practices for those who are less mobile or are dealing with chronic health issues that might impede strength and energy levels.

The Yi Jin Jing (Muscle-Tendon Changing Classic) is a 1,500-year-old Shaolin Qigong system designed to transform weak tendons and muscles into strong, flexible, and resilient tissue. It consists of 12 distinct, “intense”, and static postures, often attributed to Bodhidharma, aimed at cultivating life energy (qi) and well as energetic and physical vitality.
